The League is reviewing the rules
pertaining to members and non-members on the scoring team. To
get a better sense of how juniors become eligible to play at your
course, please complete the following questions by copying the
questions into an email to GlynnF@aol.com,
and then asnwering these questions:
What is your Club's policies and
practices regarding Junior Memberships.
1) Do they have long-term Junior
Memberships, & if so how do they work.
2) Do Junior Members pay an initiation
fee?
3) Do Junior Members have a membership
number and pay monthly dues.
4) What is the term length or
age parameters of Junior Membership and are there conditions on
retaining said Membership.
5) What sort of privileges do
the Junior Memberships provide?
6) Is there a formal Junior Membership
approval process entailed in the selection?
7) Does their Club have bylaws
that specifically address Junior Golf Membership?
We are wondering what we might
learn as we poll the above questions plus we ask you for your
opinions regarding the Four Member Rule (the current minimum #
on the scoring team), and possible inclusion of bona-fide Junior
Members into this rule.
Practice Matches for the
2007 Season: Coaches, if you want to
schedule your own practice matches for any of your Open Dates
as shown on the schedule,
please feel free to do so. Open dates are shown by green (yellow,
if "away only) highlighting on the division schedule sheets.
If you play a practice round with another team within your division,
that match will not count in division standings. They will
count as one of the 3 qualifying matches to get players qulafified
for the post-season playoffs. All self-scheduled practice matches
have to be submitted to to the League before play, and the scoresheet
must be submitted afterwards.
Team rosters,
objective criteria establishing your "ladder," and photos
are required to be submitted to the League on or before June 1,
2007. The Bylaw now requires you to submit your team and individual
players photos to the League along with your rosters and ladder
crtieria.
Caution:
Be careful not to play any high school or college golfer while
s/he is still involved in high school or college play or championships,
as that may disqualify them from furhter high school or college
